Missy Apple Knotts- Board Member
Missy Apple Knotts is a National Account Executive for NV5, working with the US Navy and the CDC. She has served on many boards, including IGNITE Transform, the Primary Psychiatric Care Foundation, Integrating Women Leaders, and Domestic Violence of Indiana. Missy is the youngest of ten children and overcame a challenging childhood, being raised by a mother with schizoaffective disorder and an abusive father. Her memoir, “Falling Far” (2025 release), details this journey and is accompanied by original songs she has written, reflecting her path from hardship to joy and success, offering hope and healing to others. As an accomplished public speaker, Missy shares lessons on Grit, Forgiveness, Landing on Love, and Letting Go of Trauma-Momma Guilt. Missy adores being a mother and stepmother to five wonderful adult children (Zach, Mason, Anthony, Cale, and Rowan). She resides in Indianapolis, IN, with her amazingly supportive husband, James Zoccola, and their needy dog, “Luna-bean.”
